Election Time!

The Chamber of Deputies election is now in full swing, but with only three candidates standing; two from the Federalist Party and one from the Co-operative Party. That’s just enough to keep the chamber alive, if all are approved by the electorate, that is.

The Secretary of State has opened up an election debate discussion thread (which can be found here) for queries and answers from citizens and candidates. The election is due to close on January 30th.

One of the hottest topics so far on the board has been that of immigration, and how to solve the problem and various suggestions have arisen. The Co-operative Party have suggested that the government should play a major role in encouraging new citizens to join, while the Federalist’s have are convinced more can be done by the citizen.

Citizens eligible to vote will have received instructions on how to do so. Citizens have been speculating on a high voter turn out, after seeing ticket numbers (receipts given to voters) on completion of voting.
